New Release on DVD: X-Men, The Last Stand

Facts of this film:

  • Directed by: Brett Ratner (Rush hour, The Family man, Rush Hour 2, Red Dragon and After the Sunset)
  • Starring with: Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Famke Janssen, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Shawn Ashmore, Aaron Stanford and Ben Foster

X-Men: The Last Stand is the third installment in the popular superhero franchise, and it's an exciting one with a splash of fresh, new characters. When a scientist named Warren Worthington II announces a "cure" for mutant powers, it raises an interesting philosophical question: is mutant power a disease that needs a cure, or is it a benefit that homo superior enjoys over "normal" human beings? No surprise that Magneto (Ian McKellen) and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants resist the idea that they need to be cured, and declare war on the human race. The action spins as the X-Men, led by Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), Cyclops (James Marsden), and Storm (Halle Berry) try to stop Magneto’s threats.

If you are a fan of superhero-type films, X-Men: The Last Stand is a great film to watch. It’s full of action and adventure and the whole family will enjoy it.

New Release on DVD: Final Destination 3

Facts of this film:

Directed by: James Wong (The One and Final Destination)
Starring with: Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ryan Merriman, Kris Lemche, Alexz Johnson, Easton, Jesse Moss, Gina Holden, Texas Battle

Giddily gruesome and perversely entertaining, Final Destination 3 proves, yet again, that horror movies will thrive as long as teenagers keep finding spectacular ways to die.

A stand-alone sequel to the first two Final Destination thrillers, this one begins when a group of seven high-school graduates escape from a deadly roller-coaster disaster - only to discover that their own deaths have been only temporarily avoided. Wendy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) spots clues of impending doom in digital photos of her soon-to-be-expiring classmates, as each of them is dispatched in the order that they are meant to die.

Will they live another day or will they learn a lesson, that you just can't cheat death?
