The 38th Auckland International Festival Has Arrived!

The 38th Auckland international film festival has arrived yesterday. Indeed, there is a huge range of films from different countries. Audiences may watch different films and may also have emotional impacts of the culture and arts from these films.

Founded in 1970 as a component of the Auckland Festival, the Auckland International Film Festival in time became a fund-raising event subsidizing live arts. In 1984, festival has rescued from this role by the intervention of the Federation of Film Societies, the 34th Festival in 2005 achieved an audience in excess of 100,000. The year 2000 marked the Festival’s return to the fabulously refurbished Civic Theatre, the South Pacific’s most beautiful picture palace for their audience.

As it is a film festival, most of the films will or would not show on the big screen in the normal cinemas. But you can collect your favorite ones on DVDs in the future if you miss them.
