Like millions of kids around the world, Santiago Munes (Kuno Becker) harbours the dream of being a professional soccer player. However, living in the Barrios section of Los Angeles, he believes it will only ever be a dream until, one day an extraordinary turn of events has him trying out for Premiership club, Newcastle United in the UK.

If you would like to see some sports related films, Goal! is one of these films you must watch. The title tells you all you need to know about this rags-to-riches soccer tale, but this conventional sports drama rises above its familiar plot with an engaging cast and some pleasant surprises along the way. This is the first in a proposed trilogy (Goal!, Goal! Living the Dream... and Goal! 3) that will follow young Santiago Munez as he rises to prominence in the competitive world of British soccer, how he faces and overcomes the problems along the way, and how he's on his way to reaching his…Goal!
